Hi, I've just added a new unit to my 15mm WSS collection --Philip d'Anjou's Guardias Españolas, or Spanish Guards.

picture

The unit has been built up using Minifigs and Blue Moon miniatures nearly by halves --except for one single figure from Roundway, the sergeant at the left of picture. The whole first rank are Minifigs, while Blue Moons stand in second rank.

Bases are PoW sized (that is, 3cm x 1.5cm) for a historical reason. When started using Beneath the Lily Banners, I found that it was a lot easier for me to simply double the number of stands in each regiment, so that 2 of my old bases equal to one BLB stand.

An article on this unit with more pictures has been posted at my painting blog: link (sorry it's only in Catalan language!)

Besides, you can take a glance on my whole WSS collection at this particular blog page: link . I've got there my two armies, Austro-Catalan and Franco-Spanish.

Best regards,
Lluís

Nicely finished and thanks for sharing! I think in 15mm wss the Minifigs are still my favorites, with Blue Moon a close second.

Neat job, I'm always quite dissapointed when Iberian types aren't wearing purple though! grin

I quite liked the wss minifigs too they were nice castings, well done Lluis.
