300 years ago today, Battle of Blenheim. Anyone do any games of this subject?

Some great anniversaries coming up over the next few years...... (ok, they happen EVERY year) but a lot of 300's and 200's (Austerlitz, Trafalgar). Anyone planning any triennial or biennial games soon? (I did a Shrewsbury last year- 600 anniv)

Hi

I'm planning Austerlitz for three cons next year. IN fact I'm planning one major game project for an anniversary in each of the next 5-6 years.

Most people interested in the period will probably already know this, but for those that don't, the present Duke of Marlborough commissioned a large diorama of the battle to marke the 300th anniversary.

It uses 6mm Baachus figures. A photo spread of the display, including showing it as a work in progress can be acessed through the Baachus site ( www.baachus6mm.com I think, go to 'news').

Lovely model. Well worth a look.

The Baccus site is actually on: baccus6mm.com & yes, it is definitely worth a look.

Wish I could paint 6mm's ( sniff )

Over here, the Czech Republic, we have loys of anniversaries coming up. Next year there is going to be a series of events connected with Austerlitz (200th Anniversary). This includes what looks like being the biggest ever re-enactment of the battle and also we are going to put on a low key wargame of it - near the site of the battle.

In 2006 we have the battle of Lobositz (250th anniversary)and in 2007 the battles of Prague and Kolin both 250th. Hopefully we will be putting a big game / event on for these last two :)
