Looking good. HOw are you liking the figures so far? When will they be up on your blog?

Lovely work – Lively set of ponies; looks like an audition for the Cadre Noir…

Pretty nice!

Fine CAVALRY (horses are like people; different sized, you know) and great work on the conversions.

WF WSS give very good chances.

the extra work with the polygrave on the Big Hair has done wonders!

I have a swag of these miniatures myself that I'm using to build a couple of MAURICE Armies with. The Infantry and Cavalry figures are quite servicable, but the actual horses are horrible sculpts IMHO.
Maybe when they have some paint on them they won't look so bad.
I'll be keen to see how your horses turn out.
Thanks for sharing.
Cheers

The infantry is OK, not sure about the horses though. Great pictures, these photo's are much better detailed than your usual fare you can see everything really clearly.

Are you meant to hide the joins and the glue runs or not up to that step?

dave thumbs up

I think I will leave with all the flaws and gunk on them when I paint them. so much more original . and as usual I have no idea paintpig what your are talking about photograph wise., you seem to have become a bit annoyingly obsessive about it…
other wise the horsea are little odd, but then so are crusader horses and these seem better than them..you get a bit stuck with very active ones if you don't plan it out..you still get overly active ones but I think I will use them for the officers..The thing that annoys me most is the wigs of the officers , so I dug out the pyrograuve and used sprue , well actually spare colours staffs chopped up to bulk them out..when they are finished one will see if it all worked or not..so far I have done 9 24 figure bodies of foote complete to the point of final varniahing and texturineg of bases in a bit over a month.. then all that mounted, 3 bodies , one more infantry unit and two guns and crews to be done by the 15th
having a picture that size is interesting to see the actual detail of the button hole lace..you can't make it out at real size..I am doing these in my "ecconomy" style

I thought I was saying the photo's are really clear with good depth of field and look alright. eg "Great pictures"
Now I'm not so sure…..?

Your choice huh?

I commend you on your valiant attempt to make chicken salad out of chicken &%^#! (referring to the very odd looking horses).
