New post added to my blog, featuring the six new Russian batteries that I just completed in preparation for our big Borodino game at Historicon in a little over 2 weeks.

All are 28mm Old Glory crews and the excellent Sash and Saber guns (albeit French, as they don't do Russian guns… yet).

Just a few more artillery crew to finish painting (French OG Horse Artillery, French Young Guard Foot Artillery, and a Polish Foot battery) and I'm set for Borodino at last!

Interesting how you made the guns overhang the stands. If permantly based like this how does it help in the game? Are they prone to breakoff?

The guns are definitely loose from the stands – that allows them to be re-positioned to the rear of the stands facing backwards to indicate limbered guns (I am way too cheap to get almost 40 limbers and teams, or even a fraction thereof!)

Peter,
Good looking group, inching closer to completion.

Yep, home stretch, John… then I need to get it all organized and ready to pack up so we can leave easy and try to beat the rush hour traffic in DC!

See you there as well – should arrive there almost exactly 15 days from now!
