Thank you guys!

Very nice, I like the "on campaign" style of you painting, it fits in very well with the Calpe figures. Something I'll try and replicate on mine.

Burkhard,
Another fine looking unit for your Prussians.

Great looking battalion.
What yellow did you use on them. It came out very bright with clean edges. I always have trouble with yellow and having to double coat or undercoat white.

14th Brooklyn02 Jul 2012 1:51 a.m. PST

Thanks again!

@ Runicus Fasticus: Well I guess he should take a look at the other Prussians too then! wink link

@ Ashenduke: The yellow is Sulforic Yellow from P3. Great coverage (just one coat even over dark blue) and a nice shade, too. Larger areas were highlighted with an artists yellow from a German company called Lukas. But the effect is minimal, so you could do without the highlight.

Cheers,

Burkhard

You found a yellow that covers with just one coat?
Impressive. On my next orer a P3 Yellow will find its way into my cabinet. Kudos to you (and P3) if that really works.

Unless they changed the formula over the last two or three years ( can not remember when I bought it) it should work.

Sir Sidney Ruff Diamond02 Jul 2012 9:37 a.m. PST

Just seen your reply to my post about the mud. Thanks I'll give it a go.

Are these the ones I've sent you lately? If so, then you're a bloody fast painter.

Love the "Lebusa" bloke that swings the musquet.

14th Brooklyn04 Jul 2012 4:11 a.m. PST

Hi Kawe,

no incidently I was about to start painting them whe your minis arrived (so actually I am a fast painter evil grin). With one or two exceptions the minis are similar though and I had for a short moment contemplated changing four of your for those at trail arms, but I decided against it, since mine were already mounted for painting.

Cheers,

Burkhard
