How does Fleets at War compare with Starmada Nova edition? Why would you recommend Fleets at War over Starmada? I'm curious as to the differentiators before I spend $$$.

I've not played Starmada Nova so I wouldn't be able to give a fair comparison. I will say, however, that F@W! comes with over 235 full-color ship counters, plus stat cards for each ship type. Like SN, it's designed to be easy to play with a streamlined rule set so players won't have to scan the rulebook repeatedly during each game.
