Anyone dabbled with this, and how were your results?

I just bought 70 various parts from a seller on Bricklink for $5 USD and whatever shipping works out to.

I intend to use the parts to build a fantasy lab style setting for armies like Dirz or Arcanists from Malifaux. I'll need to pick up some various pipe and fittings as well.

Anyways, ramble, here are some pics of parts, I ordered all these and a bunch more. Some for as little as $0.02 USD each.

Yep, once in hand they all seem to take on a new life among miniatures…some even as spaceships for tiny scales.

I sold a batch by volume earlier in the year…4 bionicle containers packed full, the price was about what you paid lol…$75 before shipping…there were over a thousand pieces so close to the same per piece model :)

I kept a couple hundred choice "power coil" and "tesla tower" types.

Do you have any pics of stuff you did with them? I am rather curious to more clever uses beyond glue to foamcore and paint.

I'm a LEGO fan, but don't have much intrest in bionicle. Still, until I found use for them for a LEGO kids class, I had a large jar of them set aside for kitbashing.

There really are some great techy bits in the bionicle range. Thhough it's mostly defunct, there are still some LEGO builders doing really cool stuff with bionicle pieces.

I made a Kroot Cycle a while back for a scratch build contest here with some. They worked fine for me!

Not True!

Bionicle lives on in the 'Hero Factory' line;
the name has changed, but the concept & pieces remain the same-

And crap, I didn't look for Hero Factory when I was bit shopping, some brilliant parts there too . .

Well when this order is all done I'll consider buying more depending on how it goes.

Bah! You and your fandangled Bionicle!

Search for Zoids!

Yay Zoids, I had some of them!

Zoids work alright, I dunno, I have done it before, but then they were more tacked on at that point.

Glenn I don't have any pics but will put a couple together and photo them up.

The parts I speak of are the torsos and hips, with the structure and then a ball on stem for connecting to a socket arm of leg.

Most pics I found were png so the TMP filter says no…my camera is having issues…let me search again…

This one pic shows a couple of those I speak of

Left to Right
Top to Bottom

The first green on top left, these have a tower/power line structure shape…great for a building in 6mm for monster stomping…a decent structure for 15mm…and a good power generator type in 28mm.

Lime green in center and gray just below, with the ball ends, make great tesla type pieces…line them up to create an electric fence or use one on a toy tank for a tesla cannon.

There are 6-8 technic/bionicle/hero factory pieces that fit these profiles…you really do not have to do anything to then except a bit of paint to tone down the primary color issues.
