Osprey's Apache Tactics 1830-86 includes information on how the Apaches conducted raiding.

What would be your level of interest in a campaign focusing on Apache raids to seize materials from American or Mexican villages, attempts to intercept the raiders, and the subsequent raids to avenge losses?

On a scale of 0 (no interest) to 10 (obsession).

5 – although I think it could be quite difficult to game; remembering "Ulzana's Raid". I just wouldn't have the room available…

5-6 Skirmishing is always fun. However, how is this different from Old West gaming?

7 "Major Dundee"
Maybe I'm thining of an excuse to have US & Johnny Reb Cav fight French lancers.

The Major Dundee angle has appeal. Kind of fits with an old idea of mine to have the French intervene in the ACW. Out of old Mexico, of course.

Oh, a number. 6? Maybe 6.5.

Ulzana's Raid was just thinking about this movie the other day. Was trying to think how you could do such a brutal and savage war on the table. You would have to combine map movement and skirmish battles.

8 and while it's not the focused on the Apache I'd highly recommend the book "Comanche Empire" to anyone interested in the Apache Wars.
