Should anybody here care to come and have a read I am currently playing my second test game under the Commands and Colors Napoleonic rules. It's a 6mm game played on a 'subtle' hex grid board, but hopefully is still reasonably attractive to the eye. I'm new to these rules but they have certainly brought back the fun aspect of my hobby and it really does feel like I'm having to make important tactical decisions each move. The card driven system is great and really speeds along. Blog link: link And a few images so far – I am adding notes to images in order to make the game easy to follow move by move. Cheers, Lee.

Very nice set up. My friend is thinking of doing 6mm as well. It looks like your wooded terrain has the trees loose. For your building terrain do you just set the figure stand on top of the buildings when they enter that hex? Matthew |

Great Stuuf Lee a fab rules system which I got into last year with the Ancients. I have a great collections of 6mm figs now covering all the Ancient Armies and The French, Brit and Port Naps. System is also great for solo play as well |

Hi Matthew, Thank you. I'm planning to make improved landscaped terrain in due course. Currently units have to be placed on top of buildings, but I'll be painting up some smaller stands to replace unit bases when occupying a village or town base, this will look much better of course. I'm also going to be making some unit bases formed in square to duplicate for standard bases when a battalion forms square. This is still a relatively fresh project for me but I'm planning ahead. Cheers, Lee. |

Hi 'Doctor' I agree totally about these rules, and Ancients is next on my list of C&C projects. Perfect for 6mm and works well for solo play as you say. C&C have been a revelation for me, I have been struggling with conventional rules for many years and came close to giving up wargaming :-) Cheers, Lee. |

Grambo, so C&C is a card driven game that can play solo? |

Yes C&C is card driven. It is an IGOUGO turn base, but the type of cards you have in your hand give you the likits to what units you can move in what section. Very easy to do solo. I play a lot of Battle Cry, which is the ACW version. Matthew |

Hi Fredloan, I'm finding it plays very well solo, cards restrict order choices available in different sectors of the battlefield and the hand is constantly changing as once a card is played it is replaced. You can't always move troops where you want to and a move could be just 2 or 3 orders/units. Battle updated today, I'm trying to use this as a learning process while hopefully giving a sense of how the system works for others. Cheers, Lee. Some of todays pics.

I'm really impressed with this, I nearly bought C&C on ebay but lost the bid. Do I need another scale for Napoleonics right now, heck yeah! Keep posting and enjoy, warpaintjj |
