Does anyone have any information on the swiss regiments which fought for Louis XIV? I am looking for uniforms and which regiments actualy fought? |

Swiss Regiments in the French Army, from C.A. Sapherson's "Marlburian Armies 1701-1721: Castellas Villars Brendle Greder Suisses Surbeck May Courten Pfieffer Vigier I seem to remember that May was in red coats with blue cuffs. I think the Swiss tended to wear red in French service. That's a start, anyway. |

You cannot beat the Hall plates. There is a CD of French uniforms available. |
