Hi, I'm looking for some figures to convert into Rif native figures manning machine guns. I realise I will probably have to do some figure conversions so I'm looking for something to act as a base figure.
I can't find anybody at all Arab like with a machine gun so I was thinking maybe a French foreign legionaire with a French ww1 period machine gun would be a good start. The long coat wouldn't be a bad start and the headdress could be altered and of course the machine gun would be ideal. I am in the UK and am having trouble finding anything suitable. Any suggestions?? |

You could perhaps use the Minifigs WW1 French machine gun figures with a Peter Pig arab head swap. The current Peter Pig SCW Moroccans, are quite old and have not, to my knowledge, been recast yet also they do not have long coats. |

These are Peter Pig Tuaregs without the shields and with the occasional weapon added.
I use them as generic Sipahi types. SCW Moroccans have the weapons but not the flowing robes. Tuaregs have the robes but not the weapons. Time for some clever conversions or time to pester Martin Goddard  Phil

Unfortunately the Peter Pig Morracans are some of their worst figures (IMO). Can anyone recommend an Arab Revolt range that could pass as Riffian Morracans? |
