Best options for 15mm (1/100th scale) Shuttles, and/or ships's boats, launches, gigs, pinnaces, etc.? Some of the usual, more frequently seen ones come easily to mind, but curious to see if anyone has some less well known, and/or custom-made shuttles as well, like are used in the Traveller universe, and others. Ones that come easily to mind are the following: 1. Princess Inara's shuttle, from Firefly; 2. Star Trek Enterprise Shuttle from Johnny Lightning; 3. Star Trek shuttle from Burger King (a kid's toy, but quite nice); 4. Star Wars Tyderium Shuttle – Action Fleet; 5. Star Wars – another Action Fleet Shuttle, but the name escapes me; and the 6. American Space Shuttle – many manufacturers. Those are the ones that easily come to mind, but curious to see if you can think of others, that are inexpensive, and good for transporting 1 – 2 people, up to about 10 – 12, to a planet's surface, from space, and back again. Ones suitable for the Traveller universe, and/or for their Striker combat rules, as mentioned above, are of special interest. Of course, as always, pics of them are greatly appreciated. |

Interesting that they call that a "Copperhead". I recall it being called a Dragonfly. |

The shuttle from the BSG Looks like it could hold a few guys. I wish I bought more than one years ago for $2.99 USD link As soon as I get my camera I'll shoot it next to some 15mm guys. |

Ah, forgot about those. Raptors, if I recall correctly. I've seen and remember them, so no need to post a pic for me, but others might appreciate it. Oh, and the Slave One, Titanium ship for Bobba Fett works too, now that I think about it. Can leave painted, as is, or repaint, as desired. I saw a nice looking one in a natural metal scheme that looked quite good. I've been thinking about buying some PVC, or other tubing, and making some of the various Traveller ships as well, since they are mostly cylinders, with a round cap on the front end. They should be pretty easy to do, with a little effort, and a suitable engine, or engines for the rear, and some styrene sheet detailing for the rest of their hulls. Anyone done that? |

I recall something like that a few GenCons back. I need to look through my old pics and see if I still have that. |

Combat Wombat's Bullfrog Lander and ZHI-111 Assault Shuttle. Cool designs, good prices, and from a producer with excellent customer service. Highly recommended! |

You can't beat Space:1999 Eagle Transporter in my opinion. Hard to find a reasonably priced version of the older AIrfix/Revell model kit these days, and the Dinky diecasts even more so. Product Enterprise released some replicas a few years ago that are perfect for 15mm, but are rarer than hens teeth now. link G. |

Ah yes, forgot about the Eagles. A shame the diecast ones are out of production, and so expensive. |

There's a recent post on Dropship Horizon about using old GZG landers, now produced by Daemonscape, in 15mm: link The models shown in the post are nominally in 6mm but seem to work fine for 15mm. Daemonscape also produce an ex-GZG 25mm lander which I've seen repurposed for 15mm. |

I absolutely LOVE that Titanium BSG raptor!!! Too bad they seem to be so pricey, when you can find them.
link Another option is this 1/72 one, but might be pricey too . . . link Dan |
