Using a Reaper dancing girl mini as a base, here's the first of what I hope will be a covey of those alluring Orion women from the world of Star Trek, sure to be a frequent mirage among Star Fleet Academy cadets.

Nicely done.

One of the few clever things they did in Enterprise was the twist where they made the Orion "Slave" Girls the secret leaders of the Orion Syndicate. Too bad it reset canon too early— it was a great touch.

Too bad it reset canon too early

If it reset it at all. The last episode allows the entire series to be written off.

I have sadly missed all the apparently fascinating things they did with the Orion girls after the original series. My loss, I'm sure!

TheCount18 Jun 2012 5:02 p.m. PST

I'll just keep my hazy memories about the fascinating things done with them in the original series, thanks!

Anyway, very nice paintwork.

Regards, TC.

Very nice. Reminds me to finish my other Starfleet conversions after I get done with my Weird War II Soviets.

Are Orion Slave girls Orion girls that are slaves or are they girls of some other race enslaved by the Orion Pirates?

Farstar19 Jun 2012 11:20 a.m. PST

Since all of the OSGs seen are green, I suspect they are Orions and not captured.

Well according to the canon established by the Enterprise episode that featured them, the females are not really slaves themselves but use the appearance to entice and dominate the males (including Orion males) through their phermones and deceptively submissive feminine wiles. The phermones tended to bring out some rather aggressive and competitive emotions in humanoid males, usually focused at other males, exposed to it.

The Orion Pirates in general enslaved all they came across, male or female of any species, and sold them for just about any purpose.

Now in the non-canon Starfleet Universe, based on the Prime Directive RPG, an Orion Slave Girl was not truely a slave but was a role that one willingly participated in and was more like a Japanese Geisha or a Companion from the Firefly series. This role could even include males, as Slave Boys, and didn't involve any special phermones but did involve lots of some special skills in entertaining (not just seduction and dance) and required some physical fitness (particularly agility). These slave girls were often sought after as entertainers for Orion Pirates as not were they able to entertain the captain, crew, and guests, but their skill sets often made them suitable spies and saboteurs.

In the Starfleet Universe, Orion Pirates were not exclusively ethnic Orions and included many other races. However the Orion Slave Girls were exclusively ethnic Orion.

In both cases, "Slave" would be the term tossed out by the Universal Translator, then.

CmdrKiley19 Jun 2012 5:02 p.m. PST

I went more for the Bleeped textty space pirate girl look than the dancer for my Orions.

Now that I have some decent bases to mount them on, I should finish them up and post them shortly.

I'm working on some armed Orion girls, too, just to not be stuck in the entertainer role. That will keep things lively.

If it reset it at all. The last episode allows the entire series to be written off.

Thankfully. They just need to do the same with the new film franchise and I'll be a happy man…

PS – excellent paint job, by the way

Miniatures of… beautiful… green… women.

I tried to type that as if Kirk was saying it, pausing… at each… important point… he would try… to make.
