Where is the ammo for the gatling gun?

Armiesarmy11 Jun 2012 1:44 p.m. PST

Magazine fed. Caseless ammo

fits a considerable amount in it….

Eclipsing Binaries11 Jun 2012 2:14 p.m. PST

I'll have some. When are they available? Tomorrow? No! You mean I have to wait!!!

Moqawama11 Jun 2012 2:33 p.m. PST

Can I give you a suggestion of what do the Ruskies need next?

Clearly need to increase my hobby budget….. Or at least put these guys near the top of the list.

Junkotron900011 Jun 2012 4:59 p.m. PST

Dang, you got so much stuff coming out that I'm waiting for.

AVAMANGO11 Jun 2012 8:20 p.m. PST

They look great and well worth the wait….

ArmybitUK11 Jun 2012 8:30 p.m. PST

thanks all

Funny you should mention the light vehicle. Its something others have mentioned and is in the pipeline.

Cdude9311 Jun 2012 8:41 p.m. PST

Those look freaking awesome! The only downside is that I'm not the guy running a russian army in our campaign XD

Maybe I'll use them as some mercs…

Moqawama11 Jun 2012 10:33 p.m. PST

scally:

evidently we're developing AN HIVE MIND!

:D

cdude,

I am using them as a Neo-Mesopotamian Cult Army, don't let the "Ruskie" tag constrain your imagination.

Armiesarmy12 Jun 2012 12:51 a.m. PST

Indeed Moqawama :)

I am amazed at the number of ideas people are using them for!

It also helps me think of upgrades and modifications :~)

Armiesarmy12 Jun 2012 7:17 a.m. PST

Just a little bit more :)

Will look at little better as I add a little more detail and with the crew :)

Moqawama12 Jun 2012 7:36 a.m. PST

Is the HGL meant to act as a gun/mortar shell launcher in the fashion of the 82mm Vasilek???

Its more like this in my mind

picture

Its the same size. The chassis for both is similar to the ww2 maxim HMG, which could be pulled by the crew or towed. My idea is this is like an electric assisted version.

Futuristic equivalents of the BTR-70 and the T-72 (or, better yet, T-34), not to mention Hind, would REALLY suit this force.

Armiesarmy12 Jun 2012 11:09 a.m. PST

Thinking along the same line, however so many good models out there already with similar BTR's Im going for something a little different. However if anyone fancies creating a vehicle range on this note, Id happily help and endorse it :)

Moqawama12 Jun 2012 1:09 p.m. PST

A futuristic Hind is already in the making from Khurasan and Old Crow's 8-wheelers looks enough like a BTR-60/70/80

Perhaps AA would like to consider something more like the BTR-40, BTR-152, BTR-50 (which look very different from later models) or the MT-LB.

These are a bit different and unlike models already offered by someone else.

AVAMANGO12 Jun 2012 7:06 p.m. PST

I would choose something like this tracked APC from GZG for the RUSKies it looks as though you could fit at least one fully kitted out squad in it and it's quite Russian BMP in style…

Mini G12 Jun 2012 8:09 p.m. PST

Definately looking forward to getting these to finish off my Neo Soviets. They look awesome.

Armiesarmy13 Jun 2012 7:42 a.m. PST

All great ideas

sadly all my funds are in the figures at the moment and 'one' vehicle in build. I can't get carried away to much, the Mrs will kill me! She already reminds me daily that Ive actually got a job and this isn't it!…. :)

I'm not going to say what it is, however its of a similar ilk and follows along the tank chassis and tank/APC route.

Golan207214 Jun 2012 2:03 a.m. PST

@ArmiesArmy – You should definitely check out the Red Eagle tank by Khurasan Miniatures. Perfect futuristic T-55.

Chatticus Finch14 Jun 2012 3:08 a.m. PST

I love everything here… except the minigunner. To me (unfortunately) he looks a little out of place with his snub-nose minigun, I don't know why, but I picture something like a heavy autocannon instead of multiple little barrels, but it's honestly just my opinion :)

Armiesarmy14 Jun 2012 3:53 a.m. PST

yep

very nice they are

Also the following from Combat Wombat seem to fit the bill:
