I have developed a taste for 20mm figures and i am now coinciding re-equipping with 20mm ww1/rcw. I think I have found most of the suppliers I can use but I would like to see pictures of or comments on Tumbling Dice miniatures. Or any other advice for this scale and period. |

Pics of some 20mm Tumbling dice that I sold a few years back. The cav is from B&B miniatures.

Are you interested in metal only or willing to explore plastic as well? If the latter, I will have a lot of pictorial material for you. |

I have been looking at plastic too, but finding which range fits with which metal range seems difficult to do. I would be interested yes. |

the strelets RCW-WW1 figures fit in nicely with metal figures again plasticsoldierreview is your friend . |

The chunkier Hat offerings (ie. their own releases, not rebadged Airfix) can also work – like the man says, plastic soldier review is a fantastic resource there :-) |

If you find stretlets to your liking (they are not to everyone's), their Crimean War Cossacks are rather useful as well. I have found some of the B&B miniatures scuplts not to my liking (a tad too mishapened) but the worst is restricted to the interventionist forces (specifically the French). Their czech legion however are very good, so is the Russian cavalry (their cavalry in general seems a better standard of sculpting than their foot), and the Bolsheviks while not outstanding, are useful. Also consider the Blitz miniatures Gulag Rats, a rather nice 9 figure set of mostly civilian clothed figures with rifles. |

I agree about B&B. The scuplts are gnerally nice. However, there are a few every so often that are either strangely scaled or just poor sculpts. Not many but a few. TD are pretty nice as are IT Miniatures. I game in 20mm-1/72 WWI. I have early War Germans, Brits and Russians painted up. Turks are partially done and then Austrians. I am also doing 1918 and the Middle East and Africa later. I use plastic or metal but don't mix them. I am a fan of Strelets. However, I don't use any of their WWI infantry. They don't mix well with my other stuff. I do use their Cavalry a lot though. If Strelets came out with a WWI set for infantry I really needed I'd pick it up. I do own a load of their non WWI packs. Thanks, John |

I believe we still have a bunch of 20mm IT Miniatures packs in a crate if anyone is interested in them. They were all packed away when we closed the shop. If interested, let me know which packs to look for and I'll let you know. Most of the "regular" WWI stuff is gone. But there was a lot of early war, eastern front, and some RCW stuff that remained. And I know there are still a few WWI tanks. Bob tindictator at tindictator dot com |
