I have posted a review of the Field of Glory Napoleonics corps-command level rules at the link below. It is long and detailed.

What an excellent, well-written review. Thanks.

Seconded! A very detailed, informative review. Thank you.

My problem is that I find lengthy rule books increasingly daunting, off-putting and demoralising: I want something I can read fairly quickly, understand easily and start playing soon.

Whether I will succumb and buy FoGN remains to be seen…

Thank you. An interesting conclusion.

nicely done!

I was attempted to buy them but I really do not like Command Point systems and I would prefer that my Napoleonics be at the Battalion level rather than the Regt level.

Good review though.

But I will be passing on this set of rules.

Thank you. I'm glad you found it worth reading. I hope I put in the types of information you were looking for in a review.

A number of the FoG Ancients players after their Sat night session played a large battle of Field of Glory napoleonics. It ran smoothly.

Mike, a great review! my gaming group plays our first FOG napoleonic game tomorrow. This review really cleared up a couple of questions that had arisen. I've been playing FOG ancients for 2 months now and love it. high expectations for this set.

A follow-up to my July 21st post. My group played FOG Napoleonics for the first time and it went pretty smooth. The quick start ruleset was fine. I'd recommend not using it if you'd already read the main rules. There can be some confusion. We started with 600pt lists. Tomorrow we'll expand and play with 800pt lists and try to get 2 games in. Oh, we are using 15mm for our games…works great!
