Pictures are extremely helpful. Some good brushwork there. The corsair I think might be a bit too red, it might make sense to break it up a little more, as you did with the grey and red mechs, stonking job on those. Not so keen on the rebel mechs must say.

Did you paint the Corsair with Vallejo Gory Red? It covers well, but always leaves the finish very close to glossy looking. Nice, tidy work.

Actually, if you read the blog, he describes precisely how he painted it.

I used GW Mephiston Red which is a quantum leap compared to the old GW red foundation colour. It covers with two thin coats, for the gloss I used Leviathan Purple wash (also GW) and then highlighted again with the base colour.

Somehow I never really liked the Vallejo colours and up to now I'm not disappointed with the new GW colours. Price doesn't really concern me, as 15mm keeps my paint consumption low.

Have You pinned Rebel Minis mechs?

@ porfirio- Couldn't get to it. We have an older version of IE here at work that seems to hate blogger.

@ Newtype- I've been switching back to GW from Vallejo, myself.

Love the glossy red on the Corsair. Just surprised that i hear grumblings about how tall it is and you choose to mount it on a tiny dirt mound ;)

I haven't even figured out the colors I will use on mine. Thanks for some inspiration.

At first glance I didn't realize the red figure was supposed to be a Mech. Glad there were more pictures for size comparison. Good stuff all around.
