Hi, you may have seen Ruben Torregrosas "Ratte" already (picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/52qtqboaZdTKOudLuZiLwtMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite), time to show my humble approach
The Landkreuzer P. 1000 Ratte (lit.: Land Cruiser P. 1000 "Rat") was a design for a huge tank for use by Nazi Germany during World War II. It was designed in 1942 by Krupp with the approval of Adolf Hitler, but the project was cancelled by Albert Speer in early 1943 and no tank was ever completed. Forged in Battle produce a 1/100 (15 mm) scale Ratte and made a pre sale of this HUGE model, I was fortunate enough to receive one. forgedinbattle.com/index.php
The model comes with different support turrets, I liked the Early/ Mid war look and went for the Flak-Vierlings on the engine deck! I also wanted a more naval look for my Ratte, therefore the plain grey colour choice.

"I also wanted a more naval look for my Ratte, therefore the plain grey colour choice." Hahaha.. if the Germans had of actually built one of these things, someone would have decided it had to be painted in Ambush scheme. |

A great model and finish. Ive seen this thing mentioned but until you put it next to some normal sized vehicles it's size is not really appreciated. Would that thing even be able to move? I wonder if it would bog down in almost any kind of soft soil. Sort of reminds me of Bun-Bun in Ringo's Posleen stories. Al |

Love it. I actually like this naval look more than the camo one. And the earlier model too; it look less cramped

Yeah, it's altogether more elegant looking; just the same as a 1941 battleship when compared to a 1945 one studded with a hundred light AA guns – the clutter detracts from its lines. |

Thanks guys! I am now working on one or scenarios for Victory Decision (stats are already done) to actually play with the beast

The inclusion of spare tracks and road wheels -- with an intention of using them -- seems a bit overly optimistic.. :) Damon. |

Hmmm, does seem to be suffering again from the german weakness of no frontal machine gun
.What is up with that? |

Very nicely done! I think if I get one (who am I kidding – WHEN I get one) in 6mm, I may try and come of with a landborne version of Kriegsmarine dazzle paint for it. Doug |
