Does anyone know where I can find convention dates for UK? I'm heading back there for an August holiday and would love to go along somewhere if family/sporting commitments permit.

Claymore 2012 is in Edinburgh on Saturday August 4th

link Newark Irregulars' excellent wargames calendar.

August is a very quiet month though – really Claymore and Britcon are the only big events, and Britcon in Manchester is primarily about the competition games – Claymore's great if you can make it, but otherwise I'd pass.

War and Peace is a military re-enactment fair in Kent. Late August. i believe there is few traders there as well.

Wargames Illustrated contains a fairly comprehensive list of conventions in the UK/US for that month and the following month, so if you were to get hold of the July issue you might be sorted.

And manufacturers/publishers/resellers usually have a show diary on their website, like so:

Indeed, but there still aren't many shows in August….

Thanks Gents.

War & Peace looks my best bet as I'll be based in Surrey & with a heavily pregnant Mrs & a toddler in tow, I can't see me ranging too far.

I presume a web search for the show will do the trick.

War and Peace show is July 18-22nd this year.
Military Oddyssey reenactors also in Kent is 25-27th Aug.
Access to M26 and M20 is dead easy for both these shows so access from Surrey should be 30-45 mins dependant on where abouts you are.
