Hey all, I recently got a copy of the Desperado rules and am very excited about starting an Old West project. Does anyone have recommendations as to where I can buy 25/28mm Old West buildings, to make a town out of? I'm looking for a one stop shop company, somewhere I can buy everything I'd need in one shot. Thanks so much! J |

We have the largest range of Old West buildings out there -- both in Resin and foam. One of our ranges of Resin is the "build your own building" with your choice of fronts, roofs and one or two storys and widths. All very reasonably priced so one can build an entire town if needed. I am mixing Battleflag and Sarissa at the moments. May have to get one or two of those Gamecraft ones as well. Also worth checking are some of the resin street and interior furniture manufacturers. (for chairs, tables, bars, store shelves etc) |

Certainly if money is no object then Old Glory, Sarissa, Battleflag all have very nice buildings but
If you are working with a budget and want to fill a town then Whitewash City or even maybe Rio Draco from Fat Dragon Games (even with the ink used) is much cheaper and look really nice once done. |

Battle Flag makes a cool line of buildings which is only going to get bigger and better. Plus they have other things coming that will be very welcomed by old west gamers. So if you are just starting – start there. The buildings are great with well done and fully illustrated instructions. They are great guys and provide excellent service. I have and will get everything they make! sky |

Following up on Russ's comments, I would also like to add that the Old Glory line of Western Buildings also includes Historic Western Buildings. There is the Condon Bank, Northfield Bank, Hardware store and others, and buildings from Dodge City and the Minnesota Sioux Uprising. We also have some buildings that were modeled after buildings used in movies, such as the Sheriff's office based on several John Wayne movies and the Place Saloon, based on a Tom Selleck movie. The build your own buildings, due to the various choices gives you about 100 options for buildings. We also offer building interiors and other accessories, including signs and the War wagon. Joel |

We also have four seperate ranges of 28mm cowboys. 1. Cowboy wars (mounted and dismount versions) 2. Warpaint (includes two sets of Cowboys) 3.Blue Moon (dimounted personalities) 4.The army card yearly give aways from a few years ago(still avaiabe for purchase or your 12 free figures for joining "the army") This includes stagecoachs, wagons, etc --not a more complete range of cowboy and western product available anywhere. Also the same in 15/18mm blue moon Cowboys, towns, stagecoachs, indians, etc. Regards Russ Dunaway |

The Arnica and Old Glory Range work quite well side by side
and gives enough "variety"

Frontline also do resin buildings and some very useful accessory sets. |

As you go forward, keep in mind that certain "patterns" of buildings recur, which means that several copies of one model, strategically placed and painted differing colors and with differing signs, can give even more options. Get this book link and perhaps the TimeLife book "The Townsmen" from their Old West series (used) for ideas about how a town starts and grows. Don't forget things like grocery stores, tin shops, bootmakers, and the like. Peopls have to live in the town, after all. Bob Bailey |

I'm not sure, but I think olg glory may make some Also, MBA has several different Western buildings that are better for "stand-alone" farmhouses than western towns |
