Sorry to hear that Jon and it makes me feel bad adding to your woes . Sadly the job finishes at the end of the month so i am trying to tidy up and get the models I want prior , not too unhappy about it but the timing could have been better .
Steve.

Absolutely fantastic design! The designs just keep getting cooler.

Will there be a version with arm-mounted weapons or bare hands (rather than handheld guns?)

khurasanminiatures16 Jun 2012 5:38 p.m. PST

Arm mounted weapons -- that's definitely being considered. There will be an expansion set with bare arms, as was shown in the image I posted. I made that Neptune with the rifle arm from the basic set and the empty handed left arm from the expansion set.

Is it possible to see any photos of the Spar Mech teams and any ideas when the Mech be available? Thanks .

daddyslittlemen26 Aug 2012 10:12 a.m. PST

Jon,

The wait on this is killing me. When is this and the SPAR teams due to be released??

heavytrack126 Aug 2012 1:26 p.m. PST

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Hell's teeth sir, I can't keep up, i've changed my order four times!!!!!!

khurasanminiatures26 Aug 2012 2:46 p.m. PST

The preceding two e-mails perfectly describe the dilemma I am in.

Can I put my vote in for the SPAR teams? :)

McWong7326 Aug 2012 6:44 p.m. PST

+1 for a peek at the SPAR teams.

I'm happily attempting to take out Jon's ready stock of Red Banners and Samsons, but the SPAR releases and the Garn Dinomech are the two items I'm waiting most patiently for. XM 6 too, keen to see one of those in the flesh. Oh, and the Karkpanzers…then there's the Arachnae…

heavytrack126 Aug 2012 10:16 p.m. PST

McWong73, lol! spot on, I put an order together on paper and that amazing man releases something else. Must bite the bullet and send an order off come what may……………but then again there might be something else new! aghhhhhhhh

McWong7326 Aug 2012 10:53 p.m. PST

I've made my peace with ordering from Khurasan. I just assume that everytime I place an order it sends an alert to Jon to release new stuff.

Made an order late last week, and nothing new was released…though we got the preview of the meso nai in power armour.

JRacel27 Aug 2012 3:24 a.m. PST

I agree 100% with what McWong73 said about ordering from Jon.

Just to point out that the Meso Nai in Power armor are already available (Painted mine already), but their vehicles have only been previewed.

Agreeing with previous comments , i am waiting for the Mecha/SPAR and see what else has been released as well when ordering . There have ben hints at Meso-Nai avs , 6mm armour etc. so I try [not too successfuly] to wait and see . Nice problem to have , though , Jon .
Cheers , Steve .

Any new news on this?

Krazy Ivan09 Jun 2013 4:16 p.m. PST

I like all the new tanks you've been previewing. But when are we getting the Neptune? I gots to have it!

khurasanminiatures09 Jun 2013 5:02 p.m. PST

Funny you should ask -- I am trying to finalise it now.

atom1225 Sep 2013 3:13 p.m. PST

So when will this be released.

Adam

TheRatGod25 Sep 2013 4:43 p.m. PST

Give it a year :)

khurasanminiatures25 Sep 2013 5:03 p.m. PST

Yes, there's definitely cause for that, because I haven't released nearly enough new product lately. grin

atom1225 Sep 2013 9:26 p.m. PST

But it has been a year since preview. Have plans for these not the other release yet.

Adam

I am most defiantly looking forward to seeing this ( in-between a battle suit and mech class suit?), and even more brilliant to size it just right that it can work in two separate scales ;), just brilliant!.

twogunsblazing26 Sep 2013 3:00 a.m. PST

Very cool mini, I'll definitely be picking some of these up…

chromedog26 Sep 2013 5:18 a.m. PST

Is that a sedition wars 50mm base on it?

Then the size is good for me.
Come at me, giant robot battlesuit!

Zephyr40k26 Sep 2013 12:42 p.m. PST

Interesting. It definitely is an excellent model and I'm adding it to my "to-buy" list. I've been holding out for the new Blowers before putting in an order, but new stuff just keeps coming out, dangit.

But here's the thing. I honestly think it would make a much better 28mm mech than 15mm. Why? It's too anthropomorphic. Maybe I'm just weird, but I feel the larger you blow us a battleframe, the less optimal the basic human form is to hold it. That's why there are/were no bipedal megafauna. Even with the vaunted T Rex, scientists these days think the body was held parallel to the ground most of the time instead of the "classic" bipedal pose we all grew up with.

So basically when I see a mech that size in 15mm scale and that anthropomorphic, my knee-jerk reaction is 'it's too big.'

I also was not a big fan of the Pacific Rim movie for the same reason. Maybe I'm just weird, I admit.

zonk7627 Sep 2013 11:28 a.m. PST

I take it the Navy Special forces figures will be released along with these bad boys?

khurasanminiatures27 Sep 2013 11:49 a.m. PST

Yep.

zonk7627 Sep 2013 1:37 p.m. PST

"Yep."

Excellent! I've been looking forward to the Spec Ops release for a while now!

werwulf27 Sep 2013 5:15 p.m. PST

I'll probably get blasted for this but I'm no fan of this mech,as a matter of fact I'm not a big fan of most 15mm mech designs. It just looks to Iron Giant to me. When I think mech I think of this:

Now let it be know that I love most of the sci-fi stuff Khurasan releases, just not a fan of the mecha.
Right now the only mecha that catch my eye are DP9's Heavy Gear line and mostly the "ORIGINAL" gears from the original 90's Heavy Gear release. They are 1/144 scale but I think they fit o.k. with 15mm especially as Human sized Power armor, but again just my opinion.

Zephyr40k27 Sep 2013 6:09 p.m. PST

Yes, Werwulf, my thoughts exactly. Thanks for doing the google images research. Most of those do a good job of getting away from the Pacific Rim / Iron Giant stereotype of "guy in a suit on a soundstage."

zonk7602 Oct 2013 11:57 a.m. PST

at first I was very fond of it, however, it's seriously growing on me now.

I'm not a fan of the "humpty-dumpty" style of power armor…at all…just my opinion though.

Hope the NEPTUNE gets released soon!!!
(along with the infantry, I've been looking forward to them since Mark mentioned them on Dropship Horizon a while back…)

:)
