Team, I've developed 50 scenarios for France 1940. Based on the Panzer Grenadier scenarios these scenarios are designed for rules sets such as Command Decision that use a vehicle or stand per platoon. Check them out here:

Cool. Looks interesting. I've yet to buy a french army but it's definitely on my 'to do' list.

Just a quick question. Are the scenarios based on historical action and accounts or are they made up?

MGKmilsims29 May 2012 4:01 a.m. PST

The scenarios are based straight from the commercially available France 1940 game by Panzer Grenadier, converted to figure gaming. I would call them semi-historical: the battles are real battles, the forces involved are accurate but the maps are approximations, ie: indicative rather than accurate. Still, good enough for a commercial product and, unless you skirmish, most battlefields are approximations in one form of the other. Still give a great feel, in my opinion, for battles in France in 1940.

If you are interested, I'll send you Scenario 1 for free. Contact me on MGKmilsims@gmail.com

Look great – email sent

This looks very exciting and well presented. Clearly a lot of time and effort has gone into it. Well done.

I've recently played Arras 1940 with Blitzkrieg Commander rules and enjoyed that, so I may well give this a go. What is the price? Does it come as a PDF or what?

Cool. Well if the battle and forces are historical but the maps aren't that's fine. Working out maps isn't too hard to do. So I'm definitely interested.

As captain Dewell says…..how much do they cost?

Please excuse the time-zone delay.

The scenarios are PowerPoint Presentations (in PowerPoint 2007). Each is about eight slides. I will send them via email in batches of 5 or 10; this has worked successfully with customers so far. Having the scenarios electronically means you can manipulate them to your own needs. I have a Paypal account. I'll acknowledge an order within 24 hours and you will have the files within 48 hours.

I am asking $50 USD Australian dollars for the 50 scenarios. $50 USD Australian is about $50 USD US. That's one lousy dollar per scenario.

Judge for yourself. Contact me on MGKmilsims@gmail.com and I will send you Scenario 1 and a list of all scenarios. The list includes the scenarios sorted by board size (in feet and inches and in metric) and by turn length.

Here is another scenario to entice you: link
Enjoy!

Cool. Think I shall look ordering this once I get past pay day. I don't have any french forces yet, but these scenarios look worth getting hold of now and stashing away!

I have not invested in this episode but appreciate it. The pictures in the May 30 link are fantastic. MGK… have you done all the scenarios in the same style as Number 5. What a project! Thanks for sharing.

MGKmilsims31 May 2012 1:41 a.m. PST

Bob all the scenarios are written to the same style. It was quite a project (my sanity project in Afghanistan for 12 months in fact). A labour of love.

Well I eventually bought the scenarios and am now planning out what I need to buy! It will take some time to work through the scenarios to work out what troops I need to buy, but in a funny way that is a good thing as I can't afford to lash out all the cash at once, and don;t have time to paint the armies for a while as have a load to do already!

Excellent quick service on these and helpful too! Recomended.

Thanks for the positive feedback Adam, appreciate it.

I have the troops, scenarios and terrain. Now I just need the time to play! Has anyone else noticed that when young we seemed to have the time and not the money; as we grow older we have the money but not the time? Cruel!

badwargamer02 Jul 2012 4:48 p.m. PST

Hmmm…I haven't got the money or the time!! Luckily we get to play a game almost every week.

I've just played another one of my scenarios, this one covering Rommel's crossing of the Meuse.

Another scenario. This one involves mass armoured combat in Belgium. Get those panzers moving!
