In your opinion, what is the best painting service, based out of the U.K., which handles historical subjects?

Define best: Highest quality? Best service? Value for money?

In effect an odd question…evil grin

Highest quality for used materials?

Best service, painting miniatures with a personal historical background?

Value for money? Who knows…

However we' re out of UKgrin

And Happy Warggaming to All.

For value for money it's the one that I use – and I am not telling you the painters name.

NB – I dont paint my own!!

Thanks for the plaudits guys.

I don't think that there is just one simple description of the 'best' when you talk about any service industry.

To some it is price, to others quality and yet another group will hail the level of communication and 'service'.

Value for money is just as difficult – it doesn't always mean cheap. A superbly painted figure at £20.00 GBP can be outrageously expensive or good value if that's what you want – and have the cash to pay for it.

I'd say that if you come away with a commission that did what you wanted, plus a bit more that you didn't expect at the price charged, and that you felt appreciated as a customer and want to both come back for more and suggest the service to others then you can't do much better.

'Best' isn't really appropriate to my mind for painting services, it is far too subjective.

Exactly

I have used and would recommend Jez @ Shakespeare Studios and and Mark @ MT Models but I've used them for completely different things…
