Just remembered the Pulp figures – looks like I have a winner

Any other recommendations gratefully accepted

Pulp Figures would be my first choice.

EM4 has a futuristic anchor woman and camera man.

Reviresco also offer that same set in 28mm/1:64th. It's listed in their "Roll Play Gaming Figures" section.

Pulp was my first call

As other posters have said, for interwar you can't beat that Pulp Figures set.

Eureka have just released a set:

Those would be great if 15mm,
One day this shrink ray will work.

But Monkey Hanger was asking for 28mm, wasn't he?

Pulp Figures offers a four person camera crew with a nasty Director, Von Stroheim with a beret. Cameraman, clack board guy, and a script girl whom I call Henniplatz. She usually has a Scream feature in my games whose decibels cause an attacker, no matter who or what to stop dead in his/it's tracks and shake his head like a wet dog for a turn. Henniplatz will later command big bucks for her Hollywood scream which will be featured in dozens of horror and sci fi films…if only she ain't killed or ate in my games.

Arteis, in what range is that Eureka set?
