This is the planned Helicarrier toy for the Avengers line. Think it has 15mm potential? |
| FoxtrotPapaRomeo | 22 May 2012 3:25 p.m. PST |
Yes! There are a number of other movies and shows that use "sky" carriers – eg., "Sky Captain and the world of tomorrow", Doctor Who. I will use with Matchbox Sky Busters craft. |

Is that a huge door on the side of the control tower? |

Just a johnny-come-lately compared to Spectrum Cloudbase, but it's got some potential for both 6mm and 15mm. If nothing else, those fan nacelles look handy for the bits box. Hmmm, I wonder how it would look alongside the critters from Monsterpocalypse? SHIELD had a helicarrier (the Leviathan) assigned to Godzilla-hunting duties, after all. |

Any idea of when it releases, no one seems to have it. Lee |

Yes, that is a giant door. It's a play accessory for the 3.75in Avengers action figures
which among other things means this monster is going to be THREE FOOT LONG. I repeat. THREE FOOT LONG! Quite a bit larger than the Spectrum Cloudbase I do believe. Don't know when its due out though. |

I estimate closer to 2' based upon the height of the door. Rob |

All the sites say 3ft based on what they saw at the Toy Show. That said, it might be cool to redeco this to be some kind of full scale military starship. |

2 to 3 feet ,It can be used for 28mm |
Chef Lackey Rich | 22 May 2012 7:18 p.m. PST |
Three feet long? Drat, and I just sold off my Superfigs collection – talk about a ready-made table. Just watch out for knockback. :) |

Its like has not been seen since the late 1980s
I want one! |
| palaeoemrus | 22 May 2012 9:40 p.m. PST |
I see it as some massive landing ship(in the WW2 sense) for 15mm. Sort of a flying super-LCAC. That, or an air-pirate attack ship. |

Shoot, at that scale it'd be worth getting one and replacing the island with something more scale-appropriate! You'd need to do something about the map you're flying over, however

Hmmm
cover those Fan nacelles and paint it.. may have a smaller LandShip for Heavy Gear. Guess I'll have to see how much this sucker costs. |

Forbidden Planet show the Helicarrier as £70.00 GBP due August. Cheers, Kev |

$110 USD is pretty rough. |

Gonna have to wait for the inevitable sale

My kids have an aircraft carrier toy about the same size. My youngest is already calling it the Helicarrier after watching Superhero Squad and the recent Avengers cartoon reruns (I've judged him too young to see the movie). Anyway, I was thinking we could take that and mock up some rotor nacelles to attach on the side and use with their HeroScape Avengers. Or just use as is, after all there is imagination to work with. |
