Apparently uncovers the actions of several British high ranking ex-military types who fed information to the Japanese about Pearl Harbour and Singapore. Heard a bit on the Today programme this morning and it sounds interesting.

Hum, I hope it comes to BBC America!

I finally caught up with this programme so, Agent Brown, many thanks for the notification.

I always felt that I had read widely on the subject but I have never heard of those two 'gentlemen'.

It certainly explains for me the reason Sir Winston Churchill refused to order an enquiry into the loss of Singapore during or after WW2. As another book on the campaign is titled – an inexcusable betrayal.

The link sounds like TV producer hype to me. The reasons behind the early Allied reverses in the Pacific are well known. Blaming it on "spies" is simplistic.

After watching I agree absolutely. Were they spies? Yes. Did they get treated very leniently? Yes. Were they in any way responsible for Singapore or Pearl Harbour? No.
You get the impression they were rather inept and fairly harmless but to fit the premise of the programme they had to exaggerate the effect they had, potential or actual. Still a good watch though.
