Look a bit small for Tripods

Grumpy Monkey21 May 2012 5:33 a.m. PST

Tripod drones could work though.

I could see that.

Oddly enough I saw potential heads for the power armor of an elephantine alien race.

POWER TRUNK!!!

Maybe take stuff from the Hawk spaceships? Most of them have a basic "Y" shape, so saw them in half, which gives you two leg struts. Rinse and repeat. You'd probably need some "hip" as well.

@Eli

You thinking of gaming the book Footfall ?

@Grumpy Monkey,

More in general, though Footfall is the only story I know with such a beast. Fantasy games have had such and there there is the denizen of Jabba's palace Efant Mon or Max Reebo.

D&D's Loxo seem to be derived from Footfall's alliens though they are bipedal.

I might consider using acrylic rods as "force" legs.
