How do you base your 15mm infantry for WWII to Sci-Fi gaming? A. Individually on washers, coins, etc. B. In teams of 2-5 figures representing very specific team types (eg American fire team with SAW, rifle/GL, and two rifles or an MG team with gunner and assistant gunner). In this case the figure ratio is 1:1 but the figures are simply based together instead of individually as in games such as Flames of War. C. In more abstract groups of roughly 2-5 figures which can be used to represent teams, squads, or even platoons but with specific stands identified with special weapons figures such as ATRLs, MGs, ATGMs, etc. In this case the figures ratio is not relevant and each stand can represent a variety of unit levels as in games such as Crossfire and Command Decision. Note that in all cases specific rules are not relevant as to how they treat figures, only the basing matters. For example, both FoW and FoF use an effective ratio of 1:1 but FoW ignores individual figures while FoF considers individuals. But FoF troops can be based as individuals or as teams while in FoW figures are almost always in groups. |

Generally individually, though major weapon teams (LMGs and mortars) are based together. Unless I'm actively playing Flames, in which case it's all multibased. |

Two on 25mm round base (2p piece) for company sized games. Single based (15mm mdf round) for skirmish though they look fine used together. Leaders get a 20mm hex base. |

15mm WW2 – B (for FOW) 15mm Sci-fi – A, Individually but I have custom made movement trays for them in FOW dimensions. See this TMP link for an example TMP link |

For my battles I'm going to use FoW basing. For my ship boarding actions I'm going to use washers\pennies. ERic |

A & C usually
and then B for Flames of War at the FLGS. |

I use FOW basing. It works for other rulesets just as well. |

Individually since most scifi rules go with that. For Striker, we just put 4 guys in a cluster. I do have some ww2 stuff based in 3's for Crossfire. |
