Am I jealous of your painting skills? Am I? AM I?

Nice stuff! Looking forward to your take on the Electorate of Cologne. Not easy to find info on those uniforms. I have both the Grant books and the uniform guide that comes on CD (forget the name) and they do conflict somewhat and the regimental information is somewhat incomplete.

I am fine with the August Kuhn booklet and David of NBA is handling the flags..Grant is a bit hopless on some of the German states..

Would the WF miniatures do as great northern war Swedes or Russians? I suspect they would but would like some confirmation from those 'in the know'.

Cardinal Hawkwood18 May 2012 5:45 a.m. PST

not good for Swedes Russians you would get away with, if you have them all wearing hats

That must be one of WF's best selling sets, seems like a lot of people use them. Nice work on them!

well I like them..I can do 3 units out of two boxes..I expect to do 24 units of foot all up..and I have planned on how to do gunners and generals..

Or at the very least, a lot of people buying and painting them post pics of their figures here.

You do nice work, your Eminence.
I didn't realize you had a painting service.
Good choice, the Bavarians.

I'm thinking about building units of 16 Figures with 4 bases at 4 figs per base in 2 ranks of 2 on 40mm square bases. Might get 2 units a box that way.

Well hiding 8 files on the above pictures, the rest still look like a unit. I'd recommend setting the grenadiers aside for a converged battalion though, and using only two command figures (one ensign plus the officer) to preserve a "solid" look?

Also, putting any command figures at the back, as His Eminence did, may not be historical but does endow the unit with a rather pleasing, unified front.
