Now I love the new plastic historical figs,
but I'm finding myself with a horde of extra bits
to store.
You know the bits on the sprue that you didn't use.
I just can't bring myself to toss them and it seems
such a bother to cut ever item off and store it away.

So what do you do with the extra bits?
Toss cut and store?

Cut and store. I have two of the plano storage boxes

picture
full of bits from my WF WSS plastics.

Cutting them out provides a short diversion when the painting muse abandons me.

I have a bits box like Waco Joe

Comes in handy – but with the Wargames Factory you get way more spare parts than with other sets

Useful bits go in my bits box. I have bits in my bits box dating back to the early 70s.

I keep offcuts of sprue as well, always useful for bodging up mortars, artillery pieces etc as well as 'radio aerials made by melting and stretching sprue over a candle' technique.

In the past I have compulsively saved every bit coming and going.I must have 200 open handed GW goblin right arms.

I hoardz 'em. I have several of these little plastic draw stack things full of bits, one is W40K, another fantasy, another historical, another everything else. Come in useful, such as the 4 tau drones I found the other week in the 40K draw and have converted for use in my 15mm armies.

Store for 2 years, if not used offer to friends, if no takers then be ruthless and bin them.
