I'm mostly thinking about 15mm ancients and fantasy packs that have annoyed me over the years, but maybe the ideas apply generally. 1. I hate packs that contain four or five poses, which seem to have nothing to do with each other, or would ever be in the same unit together. I loved the old 15mm Battlesystem packs, but they were the worst offender. OK, a guy in a suit of armor, a naked guy with a polearm, and a guy with a javelin – now make a unit out of these??? Unless I'm building units of rabble or hordes, I like my units to have some level of consistency. 2. I hate packs which have two poses, and their clothing looks nothing alike. For instance, a unit of bowmen, but half the poses have a plain kilt/skirt, and the other half are wearing some kind of ornate clothing. I'd rather split the figures, and have two separate units that at least have some consistency. Or if you're going for the unregimented look, you need more poses to do it justice. If I think of more, I'll add them here

On the flip-side, I really hate monopose packs. Some people like the toy soldier look, I hate it. Damon. |

When Foundry came out with 5 figure command packs, that was annoying. |

Spear carrying action poses. Every game I might use these with is going to require close proximity to other models, and most of these guys are wiping out two of their own flanks. I *might* be able to compensate on element basing, but on individual basing it just isn't happening. Oh, and the runners. Same reason as the spears; unless Mr. Speedy is getting a double-sized base, he won't be compatible with anyone except another just like him in front of him, and that quickly turns a rank-and-file unit stand into a bizarre parody of a health club's treadmill section. |

I am really tired of artillery crew pointing. They always seem to be doing it. What are they pointing at? It's like "Guys! Guys! Listen! No, listen this time! I'm serious guys, listen. The enemy, they are over there. I'm squinting now and they are right at the end of my finger, point the cannon right where the end of my finger is! Listen! Ah, come on guys, ah, not with the horse poop again, I just cleaned this." |

I really hate monopose packs Doesn't bother me for close-order troops that are supposed to be regimented – they're supposed to look like robots. |

No
I haven't found variety a problem in 15mm historical packs (can't speak for fantasy, mind
)
Presumably '15mm Battlesystem' ('the worst offender') is fantasy? I've never heard of it

"I am really tired of artillery crew pointing" Are you sure they are pointing and not covering the vent hole during loading? |
