Does anyone know if this will be carried by someone in the US?

Surferdude17 May 2012 7:53 a.m. PST

Hills are the latex terrain from Australia. Miniature worlds maybe.

Rules are available in the US I think. Will check who by.

It's a good set of rules.

We played a game in Exmouth same time, great game of FIW. The British civilians were under great pressure from French irregulars and some savage Natives. Ooer missus.

Very cool – I've been looking for AARs of this game.

Reading the review of the rules, it sounds like the combat mechanics are very similar to the Iron Ivan rules. Is this correct?

Surferdude23 May 2012 9:46 a.m. PST

Can't help you there as my IRon Ivan rules are still in the post. Shooting mechanics sound different but I imagine the melee will be similar as both use pretty standard mechanics I think. However, in M&T the melee is not fought auto to last man like I bieve is so in TVG.
Will be able to say more in a couple of days I hope.

Ok have the rules now. On the whole, as with most skirmish games the mechanics are similar. Reloading is different in mechanic although I think gets to the same result. A firing line in M&T seems to be able to get to volley fire again quicker though.

Will run the same scenario with both ruled and see what happens :)

Nice AAR – wasn't sure whether to base up on round or square but they look fine on round – I use British 2p pieces so hopefully the French won't react to much to such a close link to HM The Queen (never sure if using coins like that is treason or something!) I've got the self same Rangers figures which I am working on

Surferdude24 May 2012 9:32 a.m. PST

Mine are on 2p coins or rendra plastics which are same size. Thinking when I do the Brit and French regulars myself I might do square bases just for the formation look.
