The updated PEL for the one-day HMGS-PSW Summer Offensive: Hit the Beach con has just been posted. It's on June 30 at the National Guard Armory in Manhattan Beach, CA., so if you are or will be in the southern California area come on out and start the summer right with some gaming near the beach. PEL can be found here: hmgspsw.org |

It will be nice being able to spread out over 7,200 sq ft. (685 square meters). |

Looking forward to seeing you there Stoss, it should be pretty cool. There will be another addition or two to the PEL soon. It's also great that there will be a couple of vendors and flea market tables. |

There will be an ongoing battle in the shies of the Western Front 1916-1918 running all day. I was going to run this and a different game but have decided to concentrate my efforts to just the WWI air combat for this one. This means Dracken (balloons!), and the new Bombers will be out in force. We are currently working out scenarios for the day but here are general parameters. 1. Balloon busting for the Allies 2. Balloon busting for the Germans 3. Bomber escort for Allies 4. Bomber escort for the Germans 5. Flying Circus with the Red Baron! (free for all dogfight!) All rules will be used and players are encouraged to bring their own planes if they like, but we will provide everything for you as well if you come empty handed. Lots of great eye candy as well as fun in store for new players as well as "old salts". I'm building new things for the game so come on down and check it out. The Warhouse will have planes and rules to buy during the convention as well as decals for repaints from Scale Specialties. I will post more about this on the HMGSPSW.org website as we get closer to event time! A game I did at the infamous Drinking/Wargaming Bengal Club! No I am not the man in the picture, that's flight commander "I believe I'll have another round" Jerry Kegley.
The Dracken!

The USS Iowa is coming to Long Beach. Perhaps we should have a WWII battleship bash to celebrate? |

Just over two weeks to go and it looks like it going to be a smasher of a one day event! I just finished some great looking terrain for the "raffle"! two sets of three and four pieces. One ruff and one gentle hills. The "ruff" one can be used for anything from Starship troopers to Darkest Africa or the Old West! The other set will work with any scale as well and any period from Cavemen to WWII and beyond! These set may be slightly modified or re arranged before the con. They are well made (by me) and being donated to the "Raffle"! See you all there! Bill Witthans President HMGS/PSW
