I have now finally got my for the moment complete American forces for Flames of War :)

One company of armoured infantry and one of armour plus support.

What is it specifically? An Armoured Regiment (he says fumbling for the appropriate game scale)?

Of course I would base them all up but I know you FoW guys buy into a different aesthetic convention … still it is very impressive, Hammy – Smartly done thumbs up

It is a full company of armoured rifles plus a company of Shermans and then some assorted supports in the form of a battery of priests, a cavalry recon troop, a platoon of Stuarts and some Sherman assault guns.

Roughly 2/3rds of a battalion at 1 to 1.

I have considered basing the vehicles, it might make transport easier.

Very nicely done. Do you field any Axis?

What is your gaming surface. It looks really natural compared to some.

I do have a load of Axis and Soviets and early war Polish. At the moment the Americans are really the only force that is actually finished.

The table surface is carpet tiles, they are 1' square and were relatively cheaply available when I was a teenager (30+ years ago). I have not seen the same style of tiles for a long time but they used to be the in thing for micro armour games. Cut out tiles in contour lines and stack them to get a less flat table.

Ach lad, no bases for vehicles!

Looking good!

Nice work Hammy – that reminds me I must finish my Sherman Dozer one day

If only it were my own work John. The Soviets are all my work but are not yet ready for a parade ground display :(
