As an aspiring dictator, for a fictitious modern country, I think I could really use a security detail like this one, preferably in 1:1 scale, but 15mm, or 25mm/28mm will probably have to do in the interim, until my International Monetary Fund loans come in:
12 – 13 body guards would be nice, but I could probably make do with 6 or 7, if pressed. Various poses, and weapons would be nice too, e.g. standing at attention, as shown; carrying assault rifles and firing them; shooting a silenced pistol; and, still my favorite little gun, the Skorpion, machine pistol. A few in bikinis, and/or wetsuits would be nice as well, armed with spearguns too, just in case. Anyone else interested in some too, in any scale? |

As far as figures go, considered the ShadowForge range, available from the War Store in the US? Politburo Elite Guard Troopers:
Politburo Youth Brigade Cadets:
Politburo Worker Battalion Infantry:
Just some ideas- they do quite a few other packs in the Politburo range, and some other ranges besides that may work (Marine Scouts, the regular Marine line troopers, etc.). You might wanna check HeroClix for a figure of Lex Luthor's female bodyguard, Mercy, as well, and assorted other superhero/supervillain figure ranges that might conceal a not-Mercy (Mercy-less?) figure, as well, as a thought. Pretty girls with a very unfunny man Eh, he has his moments- more than can be said for most allegedly comedic actors (Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler, Jim Carrey all spring tomind). - Monk |

There is even more to Shadowforge's range. You might also want to check out Eureka's lines as well – Spice Marines (armored) and I remember seeing some greens for some other interesting figures. |

Pretty girls with a very unfunny man His Ali G interview with the Beckhams was rather amusing :-) "When he [son] grows up, will he be a famous footballer like his dad, or a famous singer like
Mariah Carey?" |

They may be easy on the eyes, but terrible security. One is looking at her shoes, others are mugging for the camera. Professionals would be wearing sunglasses so you can't see where they're looking. :) For miniatures, Copplestone and Foundry Street Violence are the way to go. I have some of the Shadowforge Elite Politburo too, they're pretty good figs. |

evidently a dodgy looking cameraman and the most obvious potential threat ;-) |
