I posted an AAR of my 1st game of Red Sun Black Moon on my blog. It featured a match between 2 evenly matched Amazons complete with a background story. It's from Two Hour Wargames.

Entertaining stuff! How do the mechanisms of RSBM work? how do you decide the attack types? |

There's a maneuver phase which determines if your character has gained the advantage of attacking the unshielded side or if the attack is head on. This carries into the attack phase. If you score a hit, you do more damage if the attack was on the unshielded side. There are a few attacks that are declared by the player. If the character has 2 one handed weapons as an example, the second weapon is used like a small shield until the player declares to attack with both weapons. Likewise, a character with a net declares when he/she is throwing the net as an attack. Hope this helps. It is a fun intense game. Even playing solo, when I thought my character would make quick work of the generated NPC, the NPC delivered a serious wound & proved to be a hard nut to crack. --Elaine |
