Hello everyone. Lately I've been painting figures for Relic Miniatures, and I wanted to share photos of the latest set I've completed. They are the Gallic veterans command figures. They were a lot of fun to work on, and my first opportunity to tackle Gauls, in all their plaid splendor!

Wow – very nice Scipio. Excellent work on the features, and I love the italo-corinthian brain bucket. On a horse rearing like that, though, should his legs not be angled further back?

I think you will like the Iberian.

Doug, the horse is in motion, after rearing… startled by the Iberian that's going after the general.

I realize that. That said, if your horse rears like that, unless you want to go tumbling off in short order, I'd think that you'd better be leaning more forward with your feet somewhat back and your knees clamped down. It's a minor quibble, and you can pass it off as being a snapshot of an instant in time (e.g. BEFORE he corrected himself to avoid falling off).

Thanks Doug, I'll also have a look at the Alexander movie where the horse rears in front of the elephant.
