Going to Rome. I would like to see some Italian army Museums And i would like to see the Battle field of Cannae. i will be there on May 22nd also looking to visit a wargame club while i am there. Need some help on where to go.I am going for 3 weeks from vancouver Canada. Barry

uuuuh.. you might want to visit the Air force museum at Vigna di Valle, around 2 hours from Rome by car, close to the Bracciano lake where you can also have a very good lunch. lots of WWI, WWII and modern airplanes including D'Annunzio's plane, Ruffo's, Macchi 200, 202, S 79, F104, Tornado, etc. and free.

Museo Piana delle Orme Latina ..a splendid open air and indorr museums staged on of reali life sets scenes depicting the History of Lazio, Anzio landings, Battle of Cassino.

Etruscan Museum Valle Giulia (Rome)

Can you get to Florence?

if so, the Stibbert Museum is a must!

Check though, and see what day they open the Samurai armour exhibit (they don't do it very day)

First word of Italian you need to learn is chiuso=shut.

Only after you have paid full whack to get in while you be told that up to half the galleries are 'chiuso'. Some may have been chiuso for decades!
