How different would Austrian Jagers from 1859 (in kittel) and Italian Bersaglieri (in tunic) from the same period look? Were their hats similar? In the few pictures I have found, they look vaguely similar. I ask because I am trying to add more figure poses to my 10mm Bersaglieri units. Thanks.

I am afraid that they would look quite different apart from the colour of their uniforms. The hats were very different. Both were basically broad brimmed hats but they were folded and worn in ways that made them look very different. Also whereas the Jagers were still wearing old-fashioned cross-belts, the Bersaglieri had a more modern 'belt and braces' type of personal equipment.

Some 15mm examples to look at …

Piedmont Bersaglierie in 15mm (QRF): link

They are quite different as mentioned above. Have you tried Pendraken figures in 10mm?: link

RM: I have a decent amount of the Pendraken Bersaglieri, the problem is that there is just one pose. Not a problem for other periods and soldiers, but I would prefer to have more dynamic bases than a single pose could provide. Thus, I am looking for a proxy for Bersaglieri. I ma just have to do some headswaps (yes in 10mm!)…

I have figures in 10mm for this period and there aren't any other "Bersaglieri" that look different than that one pose. Plus the Feather in their cap makes a distinct look for them.

… looking forward to the conversions in 10mm …

Have you asked Pendraken direct to help with this? They could be flexible with this.
