Got to try out Check your Six this weekend. A game that was lots of fun and where I thought it had realistic enough rules without bogging down into overcomplicated micromanagement rules. I really loved how you got a true "dog fighting" feel out of it by plotting your maneuvers and speed each turn and how stuff carried over from one turn to the next, you trying to anticipate the enemy fighter movement and how the pilot skill played a big role. I wrote down a summary of the rules as I remembered them and a small AAR about a German bombing raid where BF109E planes were escorting and came under attack from Hurricane and Spitfire fighters. link

Hi Alexander Thanks for a good game, the Canadians had a really bad day. This is a scenario from the Days of Glory scenario book. It is called "sorry bout that eh" the 13th scenario in the book. Switched out one vic of Hurricans for Spits just to give the players a little more variation in plane types. William |

One of my all time favorite games! I was in on play testing almost from day one with the author so I have played a good bit, too, although a lot of it was quite different along the way (even the name, which started out as Watch Your Six!). |

Glad you enjoy the rules and the scenario. I love the rules set also. Your aircraft look great and the stands are very cool. Where did you get them? |

The aircraft are various manuf. Leading edge, GHG, and a few others, the bases are home made using various components. William |

Game looks good. I'd really like some more info on how he made the extending aircraft stands? I can see that the black plastic bases are from ForgeWorld Aeronauticals but a steer on where the telescopic magnetic bits came from would be really useful. Ta, B |

As some questions came up about the flight stands and such, this link should prove useful: TMP link |
