The club's Martian Empires games are getting bigger and another one is in just two weeks. I usually add a terrain feature every game. The last game had the canal and the towers. link So any suggestions as to what I should build next? Considering a long ridge with ruins on it or a 16in city facade for a corner of the table. |

Ruins! All those troops need somewhere to hide out |

Good stuff on the Blog! I second the ruins. Also some green martian hatcheries in hills; some domes for the Cephalopods; and, a Zeppelin base for the Germans. Also, put a subscribe in email on the main Blog not just the comments. |

A caravansary. Sandbagged and wagon-walled. Survivors from a crashed Aethership with scatterted wreckage. A desrt Tripod laager.Bones of a huge dead creature. AetherHenge. |

An aethergraph sending/receiving tower. Essentially, it is an interplanetary heliograph. A Zep base or British airship base would be cool as well. |

All good ideas. But an aerial element would take your game into three dimensions and make it pop even more (although it pops pretty good right now) The city with some spires or the ridge line would give some nice vertical dimension to the table. |

I had also thought that some tall spires – with an interconnecting bridge perhaps? – would be a nice touch, but he mentioned already having done some towers. |

Either ruins or some simple 'low ridges', things that give your troops a place to maneuver out of sight of the OPFOR

Try an alien temple or a half ruined temple where it is forbidden to enter the grounds
with a good reason for it to be forbidden. Mugwump |
