Hi all – just wondering if anybody still uses these figures, or whether they have been superseded by more modern ranges. I looked at eBay but did not find a large spread of interest. |

I use them, especially the civilians and starship crew. Excellent figures, they compare well to Rebel, Khurasan, and GZG. |

Agreed, they have their uses. There's just a lot more variety available now, and in ranges that are more likely to receive further support. |

I've been using loads of those in my campaign world. They're just as good as a lot of the popular new ranges and have great character. I've loads of pics on my blog of these painted up

I have a bunch, to include a lot of the civilian packs RAFM sells and some old actual Citadel mid-tec and high-tech troopers augmented by RAFM. Here are my high-tech guys. I love 'em!

Unless you want to do some converting, the RAFM/Citadel troop sets are fine for RPG use but a bit sparse for wargaming. |

I still use my old laserburn figures for wargaming; 10 5 man squads mainly made up of 1 figure. So the old Citadel/now RAFM figs are just fine for wargaming as far as I'm concerned. |

I use all figs I can, It is nice when you look at you army and they are all not clones. Lee |

I'm refering to selection within a type. They are doing just fine for poses, but with only two weapons in a market that is always asking for broader TO&E with support weapons, crew-served options, vehicle crews, etc, two equipment options total is going to feel sparse. |

I agree, I have three squads like th eone above, plus a small HQ just for my high-tech guys. More than enough variation within the squad I think

Got a mixed low to mid-tech demi-company with some contemporary old school GZG vehicles to match. Plus a bunch of the civilians, crew & paramilitary-types, which are probably still some of the most characterful and well sculpted 15mm sci-fi figures on the market. Plenty of useful poses and variations in dress. Oddly enough despite playing Trav' they've never been used for that purpose
A couple of years back on ebay the box sets were easily GB£30+ and loose figures not far behind. |

Use
USE? Hell yes! They are still the standard other 15mm SF figures are judged by. Though to be honest there are newer prettier figures out there, but there still is a bunch of fuglier ones too. |

I have to say, I have purchased several of these recently, and they are as crisp and clean as they were back in the 80s. And they really hold up well compared to more modern ranges. Detailed, animated, great proportions. Using them for Tomorrow's War with the G Dog and Dances with Clydedales, but still with the Traveller/Fifth Frontier War background. I have some posts about this on my Ambushed in the Alley blog. I also bought some of the grav tanks, really big tanks! Love the pic, CPT Jake! link |

These figures ROCK! We ran a company sized action in March. Maybe a little sparse on support weapons for the low and mid tech troops, but still great castings. |
