Giggle. I do want a full set of OGREs, and regretted missing them the last time! And, of course I just chipped in $100 USD for the game. |

I'm just glad the kickstarter campaign has convinced SJG there is interest in Ogre and not just another Munchkin set. -Will |

$550,000 – We will start interviewing for a full-time Ogre line editor in the Austin office, because it looks like this game is back for the long haul. That's the one that really matters. Bring the game back, keep it in print, and don't let it slide away into limbo for years at a time like last time. |
Volstagg Vanir | 03 May 2012 2:02 p.m. PST |
Absolutely Jazzed that Miniatures are now Guaranteed; I'm 3/4 of the way to having a complete set, and have been collecting since Martian Metals days adding to the collection with each and every (re) release
. $525,000 – We will replace the cardboard "Ogre garage" in the box with a heavy-duty vacuum-molded piece. More expensive, but you've told us you want it. An Extra Garage or two to put all my miniaatures, new and Old
? Huzzah!! |

I'd gladly re-sculpt all the minis digitally if it meant getting new, high-quality minis available. Especially if they were in hard plastic. |

I want in, but being in Aus I'm genuinely worried that the postage will be a complete killer for the game with minis (if resin or lead). Plastic, different story – but the darn thing weighs a tonne as is! |
CPT Jake | 03 May 2012 3:57 p.m. PST |
The game will NOT ship with minis. The discussion is that SJG will make minis available again at some point. |
SCAdian | 03 May 2012 4:29 p.m. PST |
Where are we going with this? She plays Future War Commander with her Ogrthulhu running rampant and she's stoked over more new Ogre minis? |

I've been pushing for miniatures (and continued expansions/support) from the start
and now there is an additional chance of the original counters. Things are really looking up!! I'm not entirely sold on plastic miniatures, though. Not neccessarily against it, but would the quality suffer to any great extent? Here I'm not looking for an argument about aesthetics; the real point is that every Ogre-line model I've ever gotten has been nearly flash-free and with minimal mould-lines. My gut reaction would be old-school metal (to go with the hopefully old-school castings, but I'm not too diehard about that if I can get every mark of Ogre and Dopp and some Combine Heavy Armor), but I could easily be convinced of the viability of the resin/metal mix that Old Crow is using for its 6mm Slammers range, for instance. I'm not kidding when I say I kind of worry about having to shift my lead-pile when it comes time to move

#wanders off while whistling the Benny Hill theme song# And the total for Ogre is now at $507,026.00 USD |

$575,000 – We will put Ogre Miniatures, 2nd Edition on the schedule for late 2013, as both hardcopy and PDF. It will incorporate the material in the "update" PDF now available, as well as whatever gets developed as we work on Ogre over the next year. There will be new photos and new graphics. Less than $41,000 USD to go to that mark, and six days to go. Bet we make it. |

Okay, I have to admit that 'classic counters' seems rather anticlimactic for a 'super surprising' goal. But I do wonder what the as-yet unannounced 'on the horizon' part is. And hey, $575 USDk will get Ogre Miniatures, 2nd Ed into production. Since FWC, I'm a lot less excited for this than I thought I would be. (But what do I want? World Of Tanks MMO, Ogre version!) |

Im sure some of you are aware – perhaps even following this project. But I stumbled across this Kickstarter notice; they 'may' do the Ogre minis, but now as the more traditional Plastic models. link |

Don't bother with the kickstarter, they'll have the plastic minis in your local game store soon enough… ;-) |
