Dunno what scale it is, but the paintjob looks terrible up close.

Who asked this joker03 May 2012 2:53 a.m. PST

Dunno. The paint jobs make them look a little grotesque. Given the subjects, I think that is perfectly fine. The uniforms look pretty good to me. The rest of the diorama looks fine.

These figures are definitely NOT ready for their close-up, Mr. DeMille.

"Nein nein nein nein nein!"

Not sure if it's the paintjob, the models themselves look kinda bad and maybe that's the best he could do with them.

Cherno03 May 2012 7:26 a.m. PST

Looks like he or she used far too much and too thick paint.

rebmarine03 May 2012 8:11 a.m. PST

I'm sorry, but that is just horrible. Bad miniatures, bad paint jobs, bad building. Don't understand why it was even posted.

Not always people post or works had to be of excelent rate.
I pick up the job because it is a good idea for a diorama not very seen in our hobbie.
Agree that the paint job is not the best, but I like the idea, maps, etc.
But I respect all opinions to the contrary.

I can't but wonder if the figures were hand made for this? The figures look rough to me, thus why I suggested they are home made.

Is that Nixon in the Brown coat next to Adolf? Guten Tag Dr. Stranglove…

plutarch 6404 May 2012 1:52 a.m. PST

Was this on top of Hitler's wedding cake?

Interesting subject, nonetheless.

Skarper04 May 2012 5:42 p.m. PST

It seems it was for a themed competition and probably knocked up in a hurry…

so painting and sculpting are probably fair given that.

Some of the animation is good, and I lke the maps etc..

A very unusual subject, with no real wargaming interest but thanks for posting. Armand posts a wide range of topics and most are interesting to some degree.

Thanks.

Thanks for your kindly words Skarper.
I think that not only the "stars" figures, dioramas or models had to been post in the forum.
There are many people (as I am) that had not the skills to convert, paint or made so good figures but had the right to be seen from others of their same quality.
If not TMP would be a site for only "inspirational" or "superb" figures/dioramas/wargames, and that would be not fear.
I think that all the works had their beauty… as women had. Even those ones not so beautifull. (smile).
