15mm Cav used to be Trooper and horse. Now they all seem to be solid cast. Are they not made seperate any more? I always preferred them for more dramatic poses(EX, Trooper shot/slashed/blasted by cannon fire off his mount. Are they ancient history now? Note, I said 15mm.

Peter Pig are still 2 piece models, IIRC.

Old Glory still sell them as two piece. I prefer them this way as well and generally will not buy them with the legs cast-on the horse.

Really? I haven't seen a single-piece cavalry casting in a while.

Venexia – 2 piece
Warmodelling – 2 piece
Old Glory – 2 piece
Mine (Scale Creep) – 2 piece
Essex – 2 piece

Who makes single piece?

I'll add

Corvus Belli – 2 Piece
Xyston – 2 piece

Freikorp are 2 piece. We can even supply them with standing, walking or charging horses.

To echo the comments above, I can't recall the last time I even saw a single piece casting of a 15mm cavalryman.

Maybe some of the old Essex stuff.

Although many people say they prefer it, less fiddly, less chance of figures falling off over time.

Hi

Tabletop miniatures are 1 piece as well – they have just become available again … after a couple of decades in exile.

Single casts are problly perfect for the games, but for the dioramas and such. I prefer the 2 piece, for more drama and action.

Geoff, I got your Crow scouts yesterday. Look good. Wish you had a few more, or other tribes in captured uniforms.

Stone mountain had 1 piece castings. I just saw some on ebay this afternoon. They were labled vintage, no year, but I recognized them as such. I used to have a few of them, both cav and arty as well as officers. That is what I had remembered.
