I have just finished the master mould for the Pyrrhic cavalry and couldn't resist sticking a few of the bits together to see what they might look like. There are 6 different bodies and loads of heads. They will come in packs with swords, lance, and light spear/shield sets.

I hope to be able to add them to the shop in the coming week.

We have also redone the horses for these so 6 new horses are now available.

Cheers

Keith

Keith

These look a great as the rest of your Pyrrhic range. Will you be doing a command pack for them in the same way as the Tarentines?

Thanks very much

James

Will you be doing the shielded throwing spear variant?

Very nice figure.

Spotter27 Apr 2012 7:10 a.m. PST

Yes to both. The first releases will be the lancer version with command as they are needed for Partizan. The next lot should be the Agema with Pyrrhus for the same reason. Then the Lightspear/shield for the later variants. We have swordsmen as well that will do for both sets.

Thanks

Beautiful as ever. This is a great range – easy to paint and looking good once done so. And with the range of Ancient rules at the moment….

Good looking horses and now riders – I can see yet another unit of 'Macedonians' coming up. Will combine with an order for thorakitai and psiloi.

Lovely to see nice Hellenistic cavalry.

Fantastic!

Are there more Carthaginians and allies on the horizon?

Keith, those are beautiful. Make me want to start collecting a new range!

Fantastic work. I have an unapinted army of the period from another manufacturer. Having seen Aventine's products, I just don't have the heart to start painting my inferior castings. I'll see if I can flog them and replace with Aventine.
