Just finished basing my first half of my sharpshooters, couple of scenic bases to add abit of a focal point, I've still a couple of conversions to finish (officer and a couple of troops) and then i'll add a few blue jackets and trousers to add to the overall effect. So check it out link thanks for looking cheers bracken.

Looks good! I really like what you do with the basing. It cranks the unit up to 11.

Cheers guys, I've always thought that the sharpshooters deserved alittle something different to show them off! I like the chance to do set pieces and it gives me a break from rank and file stuff, I'm trying to even numbers out the rebs out number the yankees 2to1 (no bias! Honest) the officer conversion is almost finished and the trooper kneeling rifle over shoulder pointing just needs alittle bit of paint and they can be based. I'll keep posting as and when I get stuff completed, i'll keep new or newish on the main page and move older stuff into the appropriate albums, so thanks for looking, thanks for the feedback! Cheers for now bracken.

Nice, nice, NICE!! I'm as much a fanatic for good basing as I am the figures…your use of the weathered fence lines and tufts of grass are superb and perfectly balanced.

Great shade of green on the sharpshooter coats as well.

You're building quite a nice collection!

Campaigner1 the green is dark angels GW with a bit of extra black just to deepen it down, as for the high lights its a colour that doesn't look like it should work but it does! It's GW camo green, you got add a little bit at a time but providing you don't over do it, it works out real well, the officer is done so the next base is almost ready! The buglar is a minor conversion but the officer started life as Joshua L Chamberlain (bayonets) the left hand is scratchbuilt as is the pistol he's holding, his facial hair as had the green stuff treatment as well! Glad your enjoying the pics, the collection is slowly growing, so keep looking out for new stuff, cheers for now bracken.
