Does anyone make really good Comanches in these ranges? Everyone seems interested in Apaches these days but the Comanches used to eat the Apache's lunch.

Doesn't Conquest miniatures do them? Or is it Boot Hill?

Conquest definitely and they are very nice in 28mm. Boot Hill will be doing them in 28mm but not until next year.

Some of Dixon's Indian Wars figures would pass for Commanches.

Conquest does miniatures that are specifically Comanche. You can also find suitable sculpts in the more generic Plains Indian lines done by Old Glory, Dixon, & Foundry, but you have to know what a Comanche looks like.

Conquest does (28mm) as part of their 500 Nations line. Very nice but a bit on the small side compared to many newer western miniatures.

War In 15MM25 Apr 2012 11:37 a.m. PST

When I put my 15mm Plains Indians collection together more than a decade ago, the figure selection was pretty limited. I used Stone Mountain, Yellow Ribbon and Minifig Indian figures. Of these the Minifig were by far the best looking figures. Today Blue Moon is making Plains Indians figures in their 15mm/18mm line. While my figure selection was limited back in the day, I'm still happy with the collection I have. You can see them at link

But can you really get the Comanches from Conquest? Everytime I check it always says they are out of stock.
I have been wanting them for some time and they are never in stock.
