Finally watched that 'documentary-style' Brit SF movie, 'Monsters' released in 2010 and I FINALLY saw those really cool 'Land Strider Giant Octo-things' and was wondering if there were any BETTER images of them/artwork that anybody had found? With the exception of the 4? large STRIDER-type legs, the rest of it looked sorta like a big octopus
(they used colors/light to communicate, just like some deep sea squid?) I thought they'd make a really cool 'bio-martian' type for a VSF game??? They also sorta reminded me of one of the huge things from 'The Mist' that basically ignored the group of survivors as it walked over and past them at one point? Any help with artwork or images for the 'land-squid aliens' would be appreciated! Slishfully, Sgt DWW-btod |

I have plastic vampire squid I got from the Discovery store that I use for just that purpose. They stand up surprisingly well considering the membrane supports the tentacles. |

I adjusted the contrast a bit so we can see more
Monsters is a good film BTW. I just wish they had lit it a little better. |

I think the dark aspect of the film helped to integrate the creatures to the actual foreground. Contrast with Skyline. Dan |

Sharktopus is silly but the beast looks amusing YouTube link Specially like when it catches people in the air. |

Agreed. One of those excellent films with a scifi setting, that's not really about the scifi elements. |

I think the dark aspect of the film helped to integrate the creatures to the actual foreground === And it helped to hide the fact that their budget was less than a million ;) |
