With the new Flames of War Blood Guts & Glory supplement/codex/intelligence briefing, I am alarmed (ALARMED!) to see that my 20+ Shermans are all of the M4, and M4A1 variety! The horror!

So, if I want to beat up on 98lb weakling baby seal Panthers, I need to do some upgrading. grin

I see from the WarStore that Battlefront will be relesing whole platoons soon, but I am not in love with the BF price, even at a discount.

Old Glory/Command Decision make the Easy 8, but not the Jumbo.

Who else is out there?

Gaming Models has both in resin for $5.00 USD each.
I have 14 of their Shermans thus far……they paint great and play as well as any Battlefront vehicle (at much less in price.)

From the Plastic Soldier Company site:

"May/June/July will also see a change in the release schedule. Due to popular demand the Stars and Stripes will be fluttering above PSC HQ – the Yanks have been bumped up the list! 15mm Sherman M4A3 (late), 15mm US Infantry, 15mm Sherman M4A3E8 Easy Eight and 15mm US heavy weapons will all be appearing. 15mm M3 halftracks, tank destroyers and Priests will not be far behind."

(middle to bottom page) AFAIK it was announced very recently. And it sure will be economically fair!

I have enought Gaming Models to confidently say "It depends". grin
The landing craft are superb, none finer at any price.
But some trucks and British EW cruiser tanks are horribly pitted.
Get samples and then decide.

Peter Pig make the Jumbo. In terms of Gaming Models, the GMC dump trucks, AB40s and Sherman wading tanks I purchased are all great. I used Gaming Models for unique pieces, and I would go back to them for more. Richard

Agreed with everything John has to say.

My cruisers aren't bad though.. a bit pitted but once painted and on the table it's hard to see:

Quite happy with the Soviet stuff of his I have though:

The wheels are always something to be desired.

I found the height too great on the Gaming Models British cruisers both turret and hull, but hey, you can tell what they are meant to be!
